Focused Goal:
The goal is to raise a minimum of $50,000 to hire an Associate Executive Director to assist Dr Gertrude A Tharpe by January 31, 2009 (Reunion Event).
Purpose:
These monies will fund the position for approximately one year, and enable the position to be self-sustaining after that time due to the new person's efforts.
Rationale:
1. The sevice has developed to a point that Dr Tharpe needs help and the
organization cannot sustain future efforts without this investment.
2. Contributions to this effort are a way of saying "thank you" to Dr Tharpe, as the donations go directly to fund a person to help her continue helping others.
3. The person will work directly to secure program funding, support grief group
formation, coordinate volunteer efforts, contribute to community education, and
develop an alumni program.
Suggested Support:
1. Platinum Sponser: $5,000
2. Gold Sponser: $2,500
3. Silver Sponser: $1,000
4. Friend: $ 100
5. Supporter: Contribution at any level is appreciated.
